ACAR SGCR-WIRES 2027 brings together regional and international leaders in abdominal imaging, interventional radiology, and multidisciplinary clinical care. As a premier platform for scientific exchange, education, and collaboration, the congress will showcase the latest advancements shaping the future of radiology, with a strong focus on innovation, research translation, and improving patient outcomes across Asia and beyond.
SGCR-WIRES is Singapore’s leading annual radiology congress, jointly driven by the Singapore Congress of Radiology (SGCR) and Workshops in Interventional Radiology Education Singapore (WIRES). It highlights local expertise on an international stage, with a strong emphasis on interventional radiology training and advancement, while fostering meaningful engagement across the global radiology community through education, collaboration, and multidisciplinary exchange.
Organised in partnership with the Asian Society of Abdominal Radiology (ASAR), Singapore Radiological Society (SRS), and the College of Radiologists, Singapore (CRS), ACAR SGCR-WIRES 2027 marks the return of this exciting collaboration to Singapore once again. The conjoint meeting aims to inspire innovation, strengthen regional partnerships, and create new opportunities for learning and collaboration among radiologists, clinicians, researchers, and industry partners, united in advancing the future of radiology.

Asian Society of
Abdominal Radiology
The Asian Society of Abdominal Radiology (ASAR) was founded in 2007 under cooperation of Japanese Society of Abdominal Radiology (JSAR), Korean Society of Abdominal Radiology (KSAR) and Korean Society of Urogenital Radiology (KSUR). The aims of ASAR are to advance the study of abdominal imaging and intervention, in Asia, by encouraging radiological and clinical excellence, teaching, research and further education in the subspeciality, and ultimately to strengthen the Asian radiology and to reinforce competitiveness compared to American or European radiology.
The Asian Society of Abdominal Radiology is an apolitical, non-profit organization, dedicated to promoting and coordinating the scientific, intellectual and professional activities of radiology in all Asian countries or regions. The society’s mission is to serve the health care needs of the general public through the support of science, teaching and research and the quality of service in the field of Asian radiology. The ASAR meeting, Asian Congress of Abdominal Radiology (ACAR) has taken place biennially since the 1st meeting in Miyazaki, Japan in June 2007 and the 2nd meeting in Seoul, Korea in June 2009.

Singapore Radiological
Society
The Singapore Radiological Society (SRS) was founded in 1977. It is a not-for-profit, non-governmental society of radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians and radiation oncologists in Singapore.
The SRS has various subsections which represent subspecialties such as Interventional Radiology, Neuroradiology and Radiation Oncology.
We are dedicated continuing medical education (CME) and promoting interaction and networking among our members. Activities include lectures and workshops conducted throughout the year, social events for our members, as well as an annual scientific meeting which is often combined with large regional and international conferences.
The SRS also promotes collaboration with fellow radiological societies overseas, in order to further the cause of diagnostic imaging and therapy worldwide. We are a member of several regional and international societies of radiology including the ASEAN Association of Radiology (AAR), the Asia-Oceanian Society of Radiology (AOSR), the International Society of Radiology (ISR), the Asian-Oceanian Society of Neuroradiology and Head & Neck Radiology (AOSNHNR), and the Asia Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology (APSVIR).

The College of Radiologists Singapore was incorporated on 17 August 2004. The principal activities of the College are to advance the art and science of radiology and nuclear medicine and its subspecialties, promote study and research into medical and scientific problems, to sustain and foster postgraduate education and conduct higher professional examinations and to award diplomas.
