SRS & CRS members are eligible to nominate

Nomination Deadline: 20 March 2026, Friday

Dr Khoo Fun Yong is well recognised as the ‘Father’ of Radiology in Singapore. He was the first local radiologist to head the Department of Radiology, Singapore General Hospital. In those days, this encompassed diagnostic radiology and therapeutic radiology and nuclear medicine. During his long and illustrious career, he has trained numerous radiologists, many of whom have been or are in leadership positions today.

To honour Dr Khoo for his numerous achievements and the influence he had on radiology in Singapore, the Chapter of Radiologists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore (now known as the College of Radiologists, Singapore), in conjunction with the Singapore Radiological Society, decided to establish the F Y Khoo Lecture in 2004.

The lecture will be held and delivered during AOCR SGCR-WIRES 2026 conference between 20 - 23 August 2026.

The topic of the lecture should be professional, academic or scientific content related to Radiology. The lecturer should preferably be a prominent local member of the radiological community, although an overseas lecturer can be appointed once every 3 years. The overseas lecturer, if selected, should be from the faculty of the ASM for that year.
